Invisible Friends is a free hit

Arguably the most hyped project of the year and with clear entry requirements, you don't want to miss out on this.

'Every NFT project now is just a load of animals that look like they're on molly' said Kyle Forgeard of Nelk, on the Full Send podcast. 'Do something original'.

Well Kyle, look no further. Invisible Friends is coming. The project comes from the Random Character Collective, a project with two previous releases of randomly generated GIFs, and this one is set to explode. Anyone who's heard the term "NFT" has probably heard about Invisible Friends, the undeniably cool and unique looking series of invisible character GIFs.

On the same podcast, NFT golden boy Gary Vaynerchuk even mentioned the project. His seal of approval is worth its weight in gold in this space, and the team have been relentless in their marketing, with over 400k followers on Twitter at the time of writing.

So the big question: how do I get involved, and do I flip or hold?

Well, as is often the case in this world, you need a minimum of around 5 ETH to make a play here. Invisible Friends are collecting wallet addresses in February of those who hold other Random Character Collective NFTs to offer mint spots. The current snapshot shows people with at least 3 of these are guaranteed a mint spot and most who have 2 should get one too, with the prices sitting around 1.5 ETH.

4.5 ETH plus the mint price does seem like a heavy investment to get involved but HAPEBEAST, a project similar in social following and structure, recently launched at 7 ETH so even if you just flipped the Invisible Friend you'd be in profit pretty comfortably.

Also the price of 3 RCC NFTs should give a fair estimate of the minimum floor price and with another month before wallet collection it's safe to assume it's going up from here.

What are the risks?

To borrow the HAPE example again, the floor has dropped and not recovered since launch. This can often happen when the hype exceeds the utility of the project and seeing as RCC are openly hot on art > utility, the same could happen here.

Also, the prices of Slimhoods and MoodRollers are definitely set to increase before wallet collection, but expect them to crash straight after.

What's the play?

Here's what we think: get in now, flip the RCCs you bought as soon as your wallet is whitelisted, mint and flip the Invisible Friend. If you want one to hold for the long term, we think do the flip anyway and buy the dip that might follow, but it's your call.

If you have 10 ETH to play with, you could set up 2 wallets to hold one flip one but RCC are cracking down on this so don't be surprised if you get burned!

Good luck and WAGMI.
